Is that how you see me? Really? I don't really expect you to answer since the drawing was sent anonymously. You probably don't want me to know who you are anyway. I will respect that and not ask, though my curiosity is peaked. To tell you the drawing is lovely seems self-serving, but you are very talented. I am touched and a little concerned that you would take the time to draw me. I'm not concerned that you mean to do me harm or anything of that nature. The picture came by school owl, so you are at least within the castle, and Professor Skowers works hard to ensure the safety of his students. I only worry that you could be drawing more interesting subjects than myself.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I do like the drawing, and I thank you for it.

Um Someone's cat has had kittens. I was on my way down to lunch when I heard them mewing behind one of the wall tapestries. There are six of them, and they look fairly new. No more than two weeks old. I've been sitting her for an hour waiting for their mother. I'm close enough to see her approach, but not close enough to scare her away. So. I guess Will someone fetch Professor Elphick, please? Send him to the fourth floor, but the tapestry with the dragon and the maiden.
